Made-to-measure windows in Jávea, Moraira and Dénia
Montgó Projects supplies and installs windows in aluminium, PVC and wood for homes in Jávea, Moraira, Dénia and the villages around them. Every window is made to measure for your opening, after we have measured it ourselves.
Replacing windows on the coast is not the same job as replacing them in northern Europe. Strong sun, salt in the air and big openings to the terrace all affect which material and which glass make sense. Below you will find the three options side by side.
Three materials, one way of working
Whatever you choose, the process is the same. We visit, measure every opening precisely and put together a proposal with materials, finish and timing. You receive a clear quote, the windows are made to measure and delivered straight to your home, and our fitters install them. We check everything with you at handover.
Not sure which material suits your house? That is a perfectly normal starting point. We look at the orientation, the distance to the sea, the size of the openings and your budget, and give you honest advice, even if that means a smaller job.
Aluminium, PVC and wood compared
A quick overview. Every house is different, so treat this as a starting point for the conversation rather than a final answer. Each material has its own page: aluminium, PVC and wood.
| Aluminium, PVC and wood compared | Aluminium | PVC | Wood |
|---|---|---|---|
| Insulation | Good, provided the profiles are thermally broken and the glass is right | Very good; multi-chamber profiles keep out heat and noise | Good; wood insulates naturally |
| Look | Slim, modern frames in many colours | Somewhat wider frames, in white or with a foil finish | Warm and natural, classic or contemporary |
| Maintenance | Low: rinse off salt and dust, keep drainage and hardware clean | Very low: wash with water and a mild cleaner | Regular: the finish needs renewing from time to time |
| Coastal conditions | Does not rust; choose a coating meant for coastal locations | Does not corrode; light colours cope best with strong sun | Possible, but sun and salt air mean more frequent maintenance |
| Best use | Large openings, sliding doors, modern villas | Insulation and quiet at a sensible budget; bedrooms, rental homes | Character homes and old town houses, where the look comes first |
Windows in your town
We work within roughly a 30-minute drive from Jávea. Each town has its own kind of homes and its own questions, so each has its own page: windows in Jávea, windows in Moraira and windows in Dénia.
We also work in the villages nearby: Benissa, Teulada, Calpe, Benitachell, Pedreguer, Gata de Gorgos, Ondara, El Verger, Els Poblets and Orba.
Doors, sliding doors and prices
Windows are rarely the only opening that needs attention. We also replace entrance and terrace doors and install sliding doors, including wide openings to the terrace and pool.

Frequently asked questions
Which window material is best near the sea?
There is no single best choice. Aluminium with a coastal-grade coating and PVC both cope well with salt air; wood is possible but needs more maintenance. Orientation, sun and the size of the openings matter as much as the distance to the sea, which is why we advise after seeing the house.
Are the windows made to measure?
Yes. We measure every opening ourselves and the windows are made to those measurements. That is also why production takes a few weeks.
Can I combine materials in one house?
Yes, and sometimes that is the sensible choice, for example aluminium for a wide sliding door and PVC for the bedrooms. We keep the overall look in mind so the house stays consistent.
What happens after I request a quote?
We usually reply within one working day and call or visit to talk it through. Then we measure everything precisely and prepare a proposal with materials, finish and timing, followed by a clear quote.
