Sliding doors and lift-and-slide doors
On the Costa Blanca a large sliding door is often the heart of the house: it joins the living room to the terrace, the pool and the view. We supply and install made-to-measure sliding doors in Jávea, Moraira, Dénia and the villages nearby.
Sliding or lift-and-slide?
A standard sliding door runs on a track and suits most openings. A lift-and-slide door lifts slightly off its seals when you turn the handle, so even large, heavy panes move easily, and it seals tightly again when lowered. For wide openings that is often the better choice. We explain the difference at the house.
Price and process
A large aluminium sliding door is a real investment; our prices page gives an indicative range. We measure the opening, give you a clear quote in writing, and our fitters install the door and check that it runs and closes properly. Replacing windows as well? Then we plan everything together.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a sliding door and a lift-and-slide door?
A lift-and-slide door lifts off its seals when you turn the handle, so heavy panes slide easily, and it seals tightly when lowered. A standard sliding door is simpler and suits smaller openings.
What does a large sliding door cost?
See the indicative range on our prices page. The final price depends on size, glass, colour and hardware, and you receive a written quote after measuring.
Do sliding doors cope with sand and salt?
Yes, with a little care. Keep the track and drainage free of sand and rinse the frame with fresh water from time to time, especially close to the sea.
